There are many media.

Media are books, magazines, newspapers, audio books, films and games.

You can use all media in the city library.

This does not cost you any money.

You may want to take media home with you.

Then you have to borrow the media.

You need a library card to borrow books.

You can get this at the city library.

There are people sitting at a counter.

This counter is called Information.

Ask there for your library card.

We need your name and address for your library card.

Please bring your identity card with you.

There is a library∙card for 12 months.

This costs 20 euros.

And there is a library∙card for 3 months.

This costs 7 euros.

Perhaps you have proof from the Job∙center.

Then the library card costs 5 euros.

You have a library card.

Then you can borrow our media for 4 weeks.

Magazines may only be borrowed for 2 weeks,

films for 1 week only.

After that, you must return books, magazines and films to us.

You have borrowed media.

Perhaps you would like to keep the media a little longer.

Then you need to renew the media.

You can do this at the Stadt∙bibliothek.

Or you can call us on 0 53 41 / 839 - 34 34.

Have you forgotten the return date?

Or have you lost the media?

Then it will cost you money.

We will help you.

You can attend events in the city library.

Authors read from books.

Or music is played.

Or someone gives a lecture on a topic.
