Kick-off concert - "Die Schlagzeugmafia" - Thursday, 02.10.25 / 19.30 - Kulturscheune

In the full-length show format of the Drum Mafia, the audience becomes both witness and accomplice.

Although the mobsters always try to keep up the easy-going crook façade, it soon becomes clear that not everything runs smoothly in the mafia business.

How could it be otherwise? After all, with five drummers, everyone wants to call the shots.

Who will end up pulling the strings? Will the pizza maker's cover be blown? How do you build a getaway car out of three drums and what happens when all the lights suddenly go out?

'Backstreet Noise' delights all generations - with craftsmanship, charming repartee and an astonishing wealth of ideas.

A glance at the file shows that these mobsters are no longer petty criminals. Awarded the Kleinkunstpreis Baden-Württemberg 2015, finalists of the RTL program "Die Puppenstars" in front of millions of TV viewers, appearances at the "Goldene Kamera", the "Echo Verleihung" and much more...

Jazz-Groove Trio "Sons of the Preacher Man" - Friday, 03.10.25 / 20:00 - Kulturscheune

Jazz-Groove Trio "Sons of the Preacher Man" - Friday, 03.10.25 / 20:00 - Kulturscheune

Sons of the preacher men are drum groove master Dirk Erchinger, the renowned guitarist Robert Keßler & saxophone corner Björn Frank. As long-time companions, the Sons of the Preacher Men have joined forces & combine contemporary, grooving jazz with blues, rock & funk in an inimitable way. Keßler's unusual hybrid instrument, which combines bass & guitar, meets soulful bass clarinet sounds, energetic saxophone solos & explosive drum grooves.

Keßler(*1984) has been active as a guitarist & composer for over 20 years, released his 5th studio album "Little People" & has been a professor of guitar since 2017. Erchinger (*1969) was the drummer for Jazzkantine, plays for the funk-jazz act Count Basic, tours with superstar Apache 207, founded Drumtrainer Berlin & teaches at SRH University. Frank (*1981) tours worldwide with his band Beat'n'Blow, has released 6 albums, works with numerous theaters as well as Boss Hoss, Nina Hagen & Udo Lindenberg.

Daniel Glass Trio - Saturday, 04.10.2025 / 18:00 - Kulturscheune

Daniel Glass Trio - Saturday, 04.10.2025 / 18:00 - Kulturscheune

Three of New York's best and toughest session musicians. Led by award-winning drummer, author and educator Daniel Glass, the band includes Sean Harkness on guitar and Michael O'Brien on bass.

The trio's sound embodies two key characteristics: versatility and virtuosity. Their album "BAM!" (2023) presents a free-flowing improvisational style that oscillates between contemporary jazz, post-bop and funk. Their repertoire, which includes a mix of outstanding original compositions and unexpected cover versions (everything from "I Feel Free" to "Scarborough Fair" and even "Smoke On The Water"), demonstrates a cross-genre appeal that defies characterization but always retains the band's unique character.

Daniel Glass came to prominence in the early 1990s as a member of the powerful Los Angeles swing septet Royal Crown Revue. His powerful drumming shaped the band's hit "Hey Pachuco!", which was a big hit in the 1993 Jim Carrey film "The Mask". After moving to New York City in 2010, Daniel quickly established himself in the scene and landed a job as the house drummer for Monday nights at the legendary jazz club Birdland (a position he still holds today).
