The city of Salzgitter is being supported by a consortium consisting of GEO-NET-Umweltconsulting GmbH, KoRiS - Kommunikative Stadt- und Regionalentwicklung and Dr. Pecher AG.
The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) is funding this climate protection sub-concept with 65 percent within the municipal guideline for the National Climate Protection Initiative under the funding code 03K09876.
National Climate Protection Initiative:
With the national climate protection initiative, the Federal Environment Ministry has been initiating and funding numerous projects that contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions since 2008.
Its programs and projects cover a broad spectrum of climate protection activities: From the development of long-term strategies to concrete assistance and investment-based funding measures. This diversity guarantees good ideas. The National Climate Initiative contributes to anchoring climate protection locally. It benefits consumers as well as companies, local authorities and educational institutions.
