You can obtain a residence permit for the purpose of applying to college if you wish to study in Germany but have not yet been assigned a spot or do not have a guaranteed spot.
The residence permit for the purpose of applying to a university is a temporary residence permit. It can be issued for a maximum of nine months.
If you are under 18 years of age, the individuals authorized to exercise parental care must consent to your planned stay for the purpose of applying to a university.
