Instrumental and vocal lessons are structured entirely according to the teaching philosophy of our experienced instructors. As a rule, the focus is on instrumental and vocal technique, phrasing, and rhythm—both with and without sheet music—as well as improvisation.

Of course, one of our main goals is to make music. Instrument lessons also serve as preparation for the band rehearsals that take place every afternoon. The instructors suggest possible bands and genres (from jazz to hard rock), and participants sign up for the ones they’d like to join. Together with the instructors, one or two pieces are rehearsed to stage-ready standards, with the goal of presenting them at the participants’ final concert.

You might be in for a surprise here. Sometimes we’ll offer a big band, other times an additional vocal project, or something else entirely. The announcement will be made on the first day of the workshop.
