Salzgitter

Silent hour at the Old Town Festival

Once again this year, there will be a “Quiet Hour” as part of the Old Town Festival in Salzgitter-Bad, which takes place from June 26 to 28. It will take place on Saturday, June 27, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Sunday, June 28, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This is a nationwide initiative designed to make daily life and participation in public life easier for people who are sensitive to sensory stimuli and people with autism. During this hour, the lights at the event are dimmed, and music and other noise sources are turned down or even turned off completely. This is intended to make it possible for people who are sensitive to sensory stimuli to attend events as well.

The City of Salzgitter supports the introduction of a “Quiet Hour” at events and thanks the Komitee Bürgerfeste e.V. for implementing it.
