Music schools are educational institutions whose primary tasks include providing a basic musical education, fostering the next generation of amateur and hobbyist musicians, identifying and nurturing talented students, and preparing students for potential professional studies.

Fees are charged for instruction at music schools and for the use of musical instruments; these fees are set forth in music school fee regulations.

Information about music schools in Lower Saxony can be found, for example, on the website of the State Association of Lower Saxony Music Schools.

Meanwhile, many collaborative projects between music schools and general education schools are also being implemented. Information on this can be found on the Lower Saxony Education Server .
