Daycare centers and parental contributions

Are you looking for a childcare place in a daycare center or do you have questions about parental contributions? You can find the information you need here!

Daycare centers

The specialist service plans to provide childcare places in line with demand.

The Child Daycare and Family Services department is responsible for this.

The department has the task of creating tailor-made services for families in order to enable and support social participation.

The close interlinking of daycare advice, child daycare and family services is intended to ensure reliable, comprehensive advice and support.

The specialist service cooperates with the independent youth welfare organizations and provides professional and financial support for the services currently offered by 51 daycare centers in the city of Salzgitter.

An overview of the daycare centers in the city can be found in the parents' portal (opens in a new tab).

The daycare centers offer education and upbringing that complements the family. They support children with the aim of helping them to become independent and socially competent personalities. Further information on the educational concept and other focal points of the work of the respective daycare center can be found in the parents' portal.
