The watch departments of the Salzgitter professional fire department are divided into three watch departments at stations 1 and 2 (Salzgitter-Lebenstedt and Salzgitter-Bad) on 24-hour duty.
In rescue and firefighting operations, the roles are clearly divided. There are the following functions in the emergency service:
In the fire department:
- Watch commander
- Vehicle driver (HLF20, DLK, WLF)
- Engineers (HLF20, DLK, WLF, KLAF)
- Attack squad (HLF20)
In the rescue service:
- Vehicle driver (RTW)
- Engineers (RTW and NEF).
All employees have the additional qualification of paramedic, paramedic or emergency paramedic.
Everyone in our team has professional technical training that is useful and necessary for emergency services, day-to-day operations in the workshops and guard training.
The watch department on duty is managed by a watch department manager for each fire and rescue station.
