For the Grundschule Nord elementary school with 190 children and 15 teachers, the Grundschule St. Michael elementary school with 55 children and four teachers and the GS Kranichdamm elementary school with around 100 children and ten teachers, the opening on Monday in the Kulturscheune was a special musical premiere:
Listen, be amazed and be happy: to kick off this premiere in the Kulturscheune, the children listened to Franz Liszt's "Hungarian Rhapsody", played by Natalia Gamper on the large concert grand piano, then a large striped tiger took to the stage. The girls and boys were wide-eyed and fascinated by what was happening on stage...
Experiential piano music, wrapped up in a story and vividly presented. Natalia Gamper, piano teacher at the Salzgitter Music School, played the piano; and Prof. Claudia Runde from the Detmold University of Music told the appropriate stories as a disguised striped tiger. The audience sang along, danced, gesticulated, listened and participated with great enthusiasm.
The children had already practiced with their teachers in music lessons before the concert. That's why most of them were able to sing the song "Hört ihr den Ton?" with melodic and lyrical confidence....
In addition to Franz Liszt's "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 10" and the "Preludio" in E major, the program included the "Prestissimo fantastic" from Sergei Prokofiev's "Four pieces op. 4, 4"; Friedrich Burgmüller's "Engelsgesang", op. 100, 21 and Peter Tchaikovsky's "Neapolitan Dance Song". But well-known pieces such as the Minuet in G major by Johann Sebastian Bach, "The Little Nigro" by Claude Debussy, the well-known "Prelude in B minor" by Frédéric Chopin and "The Entertainer" by Scott Joplin could also be heard and experienced.
Sabine Petter, Head of the Salzgitter Music School, was delighted with this successful premiere: "With this project, we want to enable as many children as possible to experience and learn about music together," she said about her idea. She wrote to and invited elementary school in Lebenstedt for the "Tastentricks" music education concert.
After today's premiere, the "Fidolino Concerts" are set to continue next year.
