The city's cultural life is decisively shaped by the cultural activities of its citizens and the groups and associations they support. The City of Salzgitter supports this cultural initiative through financial contributions. Upon application, all cultural projects that enrich the cultural offerings in the city of Salzgitter and are aimed at the public can receive financial assistance. This is based on the guidelines for grants of the City of Salzgitter, part "Funding criteria for the cultural sector" (adopted by the City Council of Salzgitter on 22.05.2002, No.: 0408/14).

Associations and groups interested in funding can submit corresponding applications to the City of Salzgitter's Department of Culture. Applications for funding must be submitted by January 31 and must comply with the funding guidelines.
