The construction, expansion, and renovation of owner-occupied single-family homes and condominiums—where the purchase is related to a modernization project—or the energy-efficiency retrofitting of owner-occupied residential properties may be eligible for funding from the State of Lower Saxony under certain conditions.

Funding is available in particular to: households with children or with disabled or care-dependent individuals whose disability requires special structural modifications to make the homes accessible.

Subsidized loans of up to €180,000 are available

0% interest for the first 20 years

Market-rate interest thereafter

2% principal repayment
