Young conservationists and recreationists can find out interesting facts about special habitats in the 224 square kilometer city area in twelve information sheets.
Whether for school classes or those looking for recreation, whether for a family outing or a short walk: everyone can put together their own nature experience with one or more stations.
With beautiful pictures and great suggestions for activities, the Naturatlas makes you want to get to know the individual natural landscapes and shows Salzgitter's natural side at twelve stations with special inhabitants from fauna and flora. A comprehensive leaflet also provides information on the entire project and an overview of all the stations in the city.
The project is funded by the Lower Saxony Bingo Environmental Foundation. The project sponsor, the city of Salzgitter, and its partner NABU are planning future activities and adventure tours aimed primarily at school classes. The stations from Fuchsberg to Burgberg are already inviting visitors to experience nature in the fall, with bike tours and more from Reihersee to Heerter See to follow next spring at the latest.
