The SRB has a variety of tasks in the care of playgrounds in Salzgitter:

• Maintenance of 106 playgrounds and football pitches.
• Weekly safety checks of public playgrounds and play areas at schools and kindergartens, including maintenance and repair of play equipment.
• Advice on play and sports equipment at schools and kindergartens.

In addition to the municipal playgrounds, the SRB also provides technical support for the play facilities of the municipal housing association.
