This was announced by the Schacht Konrad Working Group (AG). Furthermore, it is stated that it is a lot for one afternoon in one place, but only a fraction of what is to be brought to Berlin on May 29 from the entire region and the whole of Germany.
According to the AG, people were constantly coming by our stand to sign the objections. This included many young families with small children - and most of the children were keen to sign.
Some also took lists with them to display in the kindergarten or at work. And it wasn't just people from Salzgitter who expressed their concern and signed, but also many people from Braunschweig and the Peine region.
The signature lists are available in the trade union building in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt, in the Konrad-Haus in Salzgitter-Bleckenstedt, in the citizen centers in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt and Salzgitter-Bad as well as in the city library. They can also be downloaded from the city's website.
If you would like to support the objection online, you can do so on the homepage of the AG Schacht Konrad.
