Salzgitter

Torchlight march against storage plans

On Friday, December 8, 5 p.m., the Schacht Konrad working group is calling for a demonstration against the German government's plans to store nuclear waste.

The meeting point is directly in front of the gate of the Konrad 1 mine.

There will be a rally and information on the current situation as well as an outlook on activities in 2018. This will be followed by a torchlight tour through Salzgitter-Bleckenstedt to the sports home of FC Germania Bleckenstedt for the performance of the "Feuer-Tanz-Theater Lichterloh". There will be snacks and drinks on site.

"Anyone who wants to put Konrad into operation is playing with fire," explains Ludwig Wasmus, Chairman of AG Schacht Konrad.
