Salzgitter

Presentation shows cultural togetherness

Cultural conferences, online surveys, discussions and much more: Head of Cultural Affairs Eric Neiseke and his team launched a diverse participation process for the Kulturentwicklungsplan.

The results are now available in a presentation. Next year, the focus will be on further evaluating and shaping the Kulturentwicklungsplan.

Pupils and students were interviewed at various events, as were experts from the fields of culture, associations and event management. In lively discussions, those interested in culture and cultural professionals provided many ideas on how the cultural landscape can be further shaped.

In particular, the desire for more target group-oriented events as well as the promotion of existing resources was expressed. The extensive cultural offerings were highlighted as positively as the desire to create a space for cultures in which people of different ages and nationalities can come together. Equally important to the participants were the framework conditions for cultural professionals.

Head of Cultural Affairs Eric Neiseke emphasized that many citizens had contributed with their commitment to culture. The ideas, questions and criticism were important impulses for this participation process. The great commitment of all those involved is also a sign of how important the cultural identity of Salzgitter is to them.

The results will be incorporated into the Kulturentwicklungsplan, which will define the cultural goals and perspectives as well as the framework for action for the next ten years. "It is important for us to work together to shape culture in and for Salzgitter," said Eric Neiseke.

Next year, the results will be further evaluated before being presented to the political committees.
