Among them are one trainee gardener, one trainee building cleaner, three trainee administrative assistants, four trainees in the dual study program "General Administration", one trainee media and information service specialist in the field of archiving, one trainee media and information service specialist in the field of library, one medical assistant, four emergency paramedics and three social work students.

On July 1, 12 fire officer trainees had already started at the professional fire department of the city of Salzgitter.

After successfully completing their training/studies, the new recruits have the option of being taken on as permanent employees or civil servants.

New application phase has begun

The application phase for the start of training at the city administration on August 1, 2019 has already begun. Interested parties can apply for apprenticeships in various professions. Apprenticeships are on offer in the areas of "dual studies in general administration", dual studies in "social work", administrative assistant, draughtsman, gardener - specializing in horticulture and landscaping, road warden and building cleaner.
