The inner ring of the path around Salzgittersee is approx. 5,400 meters. The path is to be illuminated in accordance with DIN standards. In addition, the peripheral areas will be sufficiently illuminated so that users of the path can still see what is happening in the immediate vicinity. The island is not to be equipped with lighting. The costs amount to around 390,000 euros.

As part of the installation of path lighting in the inner ring of Salzgittersee, comprehensive public Wi-Fi coverage is also to be installed. This will initially only be implemented at the pirate playground/mobile home pitch, water ski facility and optionally in Reppner's Bay.

The costs for dial-up points were limited to 10,000 euros per location. The costs for a central Internet connection and the connection lines amount to 30,000 euros.

The tender for these services would be carried out immediately after approval by the city council so that construction can be implemented in 2018/2019.
