Participation is free, the organizers only ask for a donation of at least 10 euros. There is no upper limit.
According to the chairman of the association, Volker Machura, the money raised will go to projects supported by the association, including the Verein für krebskranke Kinder Harz e. V., the Elterninitiative Kinderkrebsklinik e. V. in Düsseldorf, the Marianne-Buggenhagen-Schule school for physically disabled children with special educational needs in Darlingerode, the Kindertrauerarbeit project of the hospice initiative in Salzgitter and the Mo.Ki child development program in Monheim.
Those who take part can not only help sick children, but also win numerous prizes, some of which have been donated by sponsors.
All results of the preliminary round will be predicted, as well as the quarter-final, semi-final and final participants and the world champion. There are also four additional predictions: the worst team in the preliminary round, the country of the top scorer, the number of goals scored and the number of sending-offs.
The winners will be announced on July 16. The organizers launched the first prediction game for the 2000 European Championship, and many well-known sportsmen and women have once again submitted their "predictions" for the final round, which is about to begin.
