Salzgitter

The FETSZ games inspire

Fun, games, excitement: this is the focus of the vacation adventure days (FETSZ) organized by the Salzgitter municipal children and youth development department. Climbing, playing and dancing are on the program, as are making plasticine and playing table tennis.

Around 110 children have plenty of opportunities to play around the Forellenhof youth culture workshop. Around 20 supervisors under the direction of Carolin Bodenburg, Michaela Grabowski and André Greco ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Due to the renovation work at the Graffiti children's and youth club, the vacation adventure days will take place around the Forellenhof this year. The girls and boys between the ages of 6 and 13 accepted the alternative location just as well as the many creative, exercise and active activities on offer.

The motto for the first week was "FETSZ with a difference", while the motto for the second week of the vacation was "Das fetzt".

In addition to numerous games, arts and crafts and creative activities, the girls and boys from the different parts of the city worked off their energy with ball games and sports activities. Little climbers scaled crates or balanced on the slackline. The roving reporters observed the action for the FETSZ newspaper.

The bouncy castle was then used in the second week when the weather was nice. But the many other great activities were also well received: balancing on the Saturn ring using a green screen, designing your own chocolate, making cell phone covers or creating your own little RPG on your laptop.

The excursion destinations included the pony farm, the pirate playground, Salzgitter Bad, mini golf and canoeing.

"The teamwork is harmonious and great fun for everyone," says Carolin Bodenburg. Children between the ages of 6 and 13 get to know each other here, play together and make friends. The games are varied so that the girls and boys can get to know a lot during the week. Lunch is also included, as is the transportation service. The vacation adventure days are popular and therefore always book up quickly.

Information:

The vacation adventure days are supervised by the staff of the Bambula, Hamberg, Forellenhof, Barum, Hallendorf, Gebhardshagen, Graffiti and Thiede children's and youth centers (KJTs) as well as many volunteers from these facilities.

The vacation adventure days are offered in the first two weeks of the summer vacation. The cost of the program is 15 euros per week. This includes food and drinks during the entire program.
