This has been done since 1957 because, according to the state office, it is a quick and reliable way of collecting population and employment statistics and their changes for the government, administration, federal government and federal states.
In this official statistical survey, 1 percent of households are interviewed. The survey is carried out by survey officers with laptops selected by the state office. They must have an official identity card with them, have been instructed in their tasks and are obliged to maintain confidentiality about all information that has become known to them in the course of their work.
The list available for download below shows all areas in the city of Salzgitter in which surveys are carried out.
Anyone wishing to take part in the survey as a respondent on behalf of the State Office is welcome to contact the State Office for Statistics in writing or by telephone. Further information can be found on the website of the State Office or by telephone on 0511 / 9898-1426.
