Wind turbines approved

Salzgitter AG's application to erect three wind turbines has been approved. The permit and documents are on public display.

In a letter dated November 22, 2018, Salzgitter AG applied for a permit for the construction and operation of three wind turbines.

The turbines are located on the Salzgitter AG site, Watenstedt district, parcel 4, plot 5/73.

The approval for the project was finally granted by decision dated July 5, 2019 and contains conditions.

The decision reads:

"I hereby approve the requested construction and operation of the wind turbines WTG W1, WTG W2 and WTG W3 in the district of Watenstedt, parcel 4, plot 5/73. According to the application documents, the turbines will be used for Salzgitter AG's own power supply. The company's own electricity is used 100 percent in the power-to-gas process in the steelworks."
