The first information meeting for the fathers' group will take place on Thursday, August 22, 2019, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Salzgitter Psychological Counselling Center, Thiestrasse 24, 38226 Salzgitter-Lebenstedt with Sven Flemming.

From September onwards, the group will meet every last Thursday of the month (the first meeting is on September 26), always from 5.30 to 7 p.m. at the Psychological Counseling Center in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt. The only requirement for participation is that the child lives in Salzgitter. Ms. Diana Timmler accepts registrations by telephone on 05341/839-3491 (office hours: Monday to Wednesday 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, Thursday 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm and Friday 9.00 am to 12.00 pm). Later participation in the group meetings is also possible at any time.

The fathers' group is organized by the Psychological Counselling Centre. This is a service offered by the city of Salzgitter and supports children, young people, parents and other guardians in all life situations and with all questions relating to the development of children and young people. Staff from a wide range of disciplines work together here.

In 2018, 38.2% of new registrations at the Salzgitter Psychological Counseling Center already involved fathers. Fathers are now taking on more responsibility in the upbringing, support, care and provision of their children and are dealing with important child-rearing issues.
