Today, Lower Saxony's Minister of Education Grant Hendrik Tonne presented Salzgitter's Lord Mayor Frank Klingebiel with the corresponding approval notices from the DigitalPakt Schule worth around 390,000 euros. Tablet computers with keyboard, cover, MDM and charger will be purchased.
Minister of Education Tonne says: "Learning with digital media and via digital media is both an opportunity and a challenge. I am delighted that Salzgitter is facing up to the change together with the schools and actively shaping the transformation. Good, coordinated cooperation between school authorities and schools, such as here in Salzgitter, is always the basis for the successful further development of the school landscape. I hope that the city and the schools will continue to work together successfully in the interests of the pupils in the future."
"Certainly not all questions and all framework conditions have been clarified yet, but the tablets that are now to be procured will be given to pupils who have not yet had any digital tools at home. I am committed to equal educational conditions for all children, which is why it is so important not to waste any more time and to fill the Digital Pact for Schools with life," added Mayor Klingebiel.
