Salzgitter

Swimming pools reopen

Swimmers in Salzgitter can breathe a sigh of relief: Stadtbad Salzgitter-Lebenstedt and Solewellenbad in Salzgitter-Bad open on June 16. The fitness center in the Thermalsolbad will also be open again from June 15.

However, the operator Bäder, Sport und Freizeit Salzgitter GmbH must adhere to regulations regarding the number of bathers as well as distancing and hygiene rules. Managing Director Dirk Bremermann has discussed this with other pool operators and his team and, like many of his colleagues, adheres to the recommendations of the German Bathing Society. For example, visitors must wear a face mask in the entrance and cash desk areas as well as in the changing rooms. The wet areas are excluded.

Further important information for the bathing areas: The stay is limited to a maximum of three hours or 70 minutes when using the short bathing tariff in the Stadtbad. No short bathing tariffs are offered in the Thermalsolbad. Children under the age of 14 may only enter both pools if accompanied by an adult.

Despite the restrictions, Bremermann is looking forward to finally welcoming bathers again. The opening hours have changed.
