This is due to work to install crash barriers over a length of around seven kilometers in both directions. The state authority for road construction and traffic in Wolfenbüttel has drawn attention to this.
According to the authority, the work will begin on Monday, August 3, and is scheduled to last until the end of October. Depending on the weather, the crash barriers will be installed in daily construction sites, which means that there may be localized lane narrowings, sometimes with traffic light control.
The costs of the measure amount to around 500,000 euros and will be borne by the federal government.
The state authority asks the affected road users for their understanding.
