Work will begin on Monday, August 24. First, the bridge located in the extension of Kurt-Tucholsky-Ring will be demolished. This will be followed by the work required to install the new bridges.
The second dilapidated wooden bridge, located between the small and larger pond, will then be demolished and also replaced by a new bridge.
From Monday, August 31, the two new steel and timber assembly bridges will be installed and the path connections and the area around the trees will be restored.
The affected footpaths and cycle paths will have to be completely closed for the demolition and assembly work. A detour will be set up for pedestrians and cyclists, which will be signposted on site.
All work is expected to be completed by September 9.
