The special feature of the vocatium trade fair is that the discussions between the young people and the exhibitors take place via video chat, which are arranged in advance via the schools so that questions can be answered individually.

Nevertheless, young people can also register at short notice via the website www.vocatium.de (opens in a new tab) to find out about the training or study opportunities offered by over 80 companies in a direct video call on one of the two days.

The City of Salzgitter's Personnel and Organization Department is taking part in this fair for the first time.

Two members of staff will be on hand to answer questions about the city's training and study opportunities.

A number of interviews with pupils from Seesen and Peine have already been scheduled in advance. Anyone interested in finding out more about the diversity of municipal administration is invited to attend.

The special thing about Salzgitter is that after successfully completing their training and studies, the junior staff are generally guaranteed a permanent position in the municipal administration.

The vocatium - the trade fair for vocational training and studies will take place on Thursday, July 15, from 2.30 to 5.30 p.m. in the Videochat.

Over 80 companies have registered to advise more than 2,500 young people from 60 schools.

Participation is free of charge for visitors and is also possible without pre-registration.
