The SPD politician received 38.61% of the votes cast. The voter turnout was 73.27%.

The Social Democrats achieved 36.65% of the second votes and the CDU 22.96%. The Greens received 12.45%, the AfD 9.89%, the FDP 9.24% and the Die Linke 3.05%. The remaining votes were distributed among the other parties.

Constituency 49 - Salzgitter - Wolfenbüttel - comprises the areas of the independent city of Salzgitter, the district of Wolfenbüttel and, from the district of Goslar, the towns of Langelsheim and Seesen as well as the municipality of Liebenburg and the joint municipality of Lutter am Barenberge.

The district electoral authority for the 2021 Bundestagswahl was the city of Salzgitter. The overall result for the constituency is also available there. The district electoral committee still has to confirm the result.
