Susanne Niemeyer's voluntary activities include advising the hunting authority on all hunting-related matters. She is also a member of the Hunting Advisory Council, convening and chairing its meetings.
The members of the hunting advisory board were also elected by the city council at the meeting. In addition to the District Hunting Officer, the Hunting Advisory Council consists of a further six members, who were also appointed by the Council on the recommendation of the Chamber of Agriculture, the Hunting Association, the Nature Conservation Officer and the Lower Saxony State Forestry Institute. They also carry out this work on a voluntary basis.
The members of the Hunting Advisory Board are therefore
- Suanne Niemeyer as the district master hunter
- Hans Kasinger as representative of agriculture
- Dirk Werthmann as representative of the forestry sector
- Herbert Würstemann as representative of the hunting cooperatives
- Joachim Lüders as representative of the hunters
- Axel Kornblum as representative of nature conservation
- Detlef Tolzmann as representative of the Niedersächsische Landesforsten institution.
On December 15, the members were formally sworn in by First City Councillor Eric Neiseke, deputy to Lord Mayor Frank Klingebiel, in the council chamber of the City of Salzgitter. The members were informed of their duties in accordance with the Lower Saxony Municipal Constitution Act. This was followed by the first meeting of the newly elected Hunting Advisory Council. The City of Salzgitter would like to thank them for their voluntary commitment and looks forward to working with them.
