Growing up with music

The Salzgitter Music School is offering new courses in early music education. Registrations are possible, even if the start date has not yet been set due to the current situation. Some courses will start online.

In early support, the little ones receive a broad musical basis from which they can develop individually. The music school offers various courses for this purpose:

New to the offer are the "Sing, Baby!" taster course for expectant mothers (three dates by individual arrangement) and the "Baby Music Course" for toddlers with their parents (weekly for around 6 months; Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday mornings by arrangement). These two courses will start online in March and continue as face-to-face classes as soon as the Lower Saxony state regulation allows.

There are still places available for the courses "Rhythmics for toddlers" (weekly over one year for children aged 2 to 3 years and their parents), "Early musical education" (weekly over two years for children aged 4 to 6 years) and "Basic musical education" (over six months for children aged 7 to 10 years), which also start in March. Registrations are still welcome.

The "Music Carousel" for children of primary school age between 7 and 10 will start a new course as soon as conditions permit. This popular orientation course offers children the opportunity to get to know different instruments in small groups. The instruments can be taken home.

The children in the basic musical level learn in a special way: Discovering sounds together in small groups, experiencing songs and dance, listening to music from different cultures, getting to know musical instruments:

The new courses will start as soon as the regulations of the state of Lower Saxony allow. Only then will fees be charged.

Anyone with questions about the existing or new courses can find out more on the Salzgitter city website or contact Stefanie Wipprecht.
