In order to place the office in the hands of parents whose children currently have lessons at the music school, he stepped down from his position at the association's last general meeting.
Not only he, but also other members of the board did not stand for re-election.
In addition to First Chair Gedaschke, Second Chair Heike Schmidt-Monreal, Treasurer Almut Gedaschke and Assessor Helmut Findeiß also stepped down after many years of voluntary work.
Music school director Sabine Petter thanked the members of the outgoing board for their dedication and commitment to the musical promotion of children and young people, for the good cooperation, but also for their support at numerous events and for financing scholarships.
Among other things, the association recently purchased the new grand piano for the recitals in the Alte Feuerwache hall as well as many instruments that are urgently needed for music lessons in elementary school.
The new board of the Friends' Association has resolved to take on new tasks in the interests of the music school in addition to the established ones.
Sebastian Prinzing was elected first chairman by the members. The new second chairperson is Brunhild Reska, Petra Prinzing has taken on the role of secretary, Michael Frömel is now treasurer and Renate Wollny and Barbara Rother are now assessors. Brunhild Reska from the former board team has remained on the board.
