Salzgitter

Federal emergency brake is applied in Salzgitter

Since Saturday, April 24, the nationwide regulations of the amended Infection Protection Act (IfSG) have been in force in Salzgitter.

The federal government's emergency brake is being implemented 1:1 in Salzgitter, which has been considered a high-incidence municipality for days.

What does this mean in concrete terms for the measures regulated by general decrees in Salzgitter? All schools will remain closed for in-person classes. And the curfew will also be implemented in accordance with the federal emergency brake. From 10 p.m. (not 9 p.m. as previously regulated in Salzgitter) until 5 a.m. the following day, only those who have a good reason to do so, such as carrying out a professional activity or caring for animals, may leave their home environment. Between 10 p.m. and midnight, people are also permitted to exercise outdoors on their own, but not in sports facilities.

On Friday, April 23, the city of Salzgitter published a general decree announcing that the regulations set out in Section 28b IfSG have been in force in the city since Saturday, April 24.

The 7-day incidences on the homepage of the Robert Koch Institute at: https://www.rki.de/inzidenzen (opens in a new tab) are decisive for measures in accordance with Section 28b of the new Infection Protection Act.
