Salzgitter

Hall usage fees for swimming courses will also be waived in 2022

The Supervisory Board of Bäder, Sport und Freizeit Salzgitter GmbH (BSF) has unanimously decided that swimming clubs and local DLRG groups will not have to pay any hall usage fees for swimming courses to achieve swimming ability (seahorses and bronze) in 2022 either.

The need and demand for teaching children and young people how to swim remains high. To this end, BSF has already provided swimming clubs and DLRG local groups with numerous times of use in the Salzgitter-Lebenstedt Stadtbad and Thermalsolbad free of charge this year.

The positive response has now prompted the BSF management and the BSF Supervisory Board to extend the free use of the pools until 31.12.2022 in order to continue to support swimming training to the best of their ability.

"With this action, BSF and the clubs have been able to compensate for some of the losses caused by the pandemic, but the offer must be maintained at all costs in order to make up for the backlog in swimming training, especially as the waiting lists are long," says Supervisory Board Chairman Ulrich Leidecker, explaining the importance of the decision.
