Senior citizens' clubs and associations as well as senior citizens' care facilities can submit candidate proposals to the office of the Seniorenbeirat until January 20, 2022.

Anyone who has reached the age of 60, is resident in Salzgitter and is eligible to stand for election to the Salzgitter City Council is eligible. Individual candidates can also apply if their application is supported by at least 30 people who meet the eligibility requirements.
