"Singen von Anfang an" is a cooperation between the State Association of Lower Saxony in the Professional Association of Pediatricians and Adolescent Doctors (BVJK) and Musikland Niedersachsen. The project of the same name from Musikland Niedersachsen includes a songbook with 15 songs to encourage parents and their babies to "sing from the start". The classic lullabies and cradle songs such as "Weißt du, wieviel Sternlein stehen" or children's songs such as "Backe, backe Kuchen" can be found in the songbook as well as children's songs in Turkish and Arabic.

On Tuesday, September 21, singer Sonja Catalano and accordionist Goran Stevanović will show how much fun it is to sing together. They will present some of the most beautiful songs from this book. They vividly demonstrate how important music and rituals are for the little ones: Songs ring in sleep and give comfort, they accompany the seasons and festivals.

The parents and their babies and toddlers between the ages of 0 and two will be invited to sing along, hum, rock or clap or simply listen. For this purpose, "listening islands" will be set up on the floor of the culture barn, where parents and/or guardians can make themselves comfortable with their children and then listen or sing along.
