New offers for children to join in at Salder Castle

The new special exhibition "Friends - Helpers - Street Fighters: The Police in the Weimar Republic" at the Salder Castle Municipal Museum deals with a highly relevant democratic topic and features exciting original exhibits.

The museum's education team has worked hard to ensure that younger guests don't miss out either: The team led by museum educator Christine Kellner-Depner has developed various coloring activities for children.

The richly detailed diorama shows a street scene from around 1925 and the masks of the policeman and citizen look magnificent. And then there's the Salzgitter Schupo dice game "Let's go"! It is based on the original 1926 model in the exhibition. In the new version, however, you can also color in many sights from Salzgitter and get to know them better. Even the eyes on the dice and the game pieces still need to be nicely colored, so: Let's go!

The handicrafts can either be collected free of charge from the museum at the entrance to the special exhibition - or you can download them from the Internet to print out and do the handicrafts yourself (you will then have to get the cubes and figures yourself - but many people probably have them at home anyway!)

The handicrafts can be found on the Internet under "Download" (at the bottom):

If you want to see the words of welcome to the exhibition, including those from Lord Mayor Frank Klingebiel, you can find them on YouTube:

The special exhibition runs until 15.08.2021, admission is free.
