Salzgitter

Vacant lots on the city's website

The city of Salzgitter first recorded gaps between buildings in the urban area back in 2010. The result was the vacant lot exchange on the city's homepage.

Due to the good response as well as the continuing demand for plots to be built on at short notice and an updated mapping of building gaps in 28 of Salzgitter's 31 districts, property owners and part owners were again asked this year about their willingness to participate in the new Baulückenkataster.

As a result, five owners have so far shown interest in presenting their vacant lots on the city's website with immediate effect.

The Baulückenkataster provides an overview of potential building sites for owner-occupied homes for those wishing to build, and also gives property owners the opportunity to offer their plots to prospective buyers via a short route.

The City of Salzgitter will provide the contact details. All the necessary information is available from the City of Salzgitter's urban planning department and online at www.salzgitter.de/bauluecken (opens in a new tab).

The Baulückenkataster is the result of the ILE project "Municipal planning and control tool". ILE stands for integrated rural development - the city of Salzgitter is part of the ILE region Northern Harz Foreland, along with the joint municipalities of Baddeckenstedt, Elm-Asse and Oderwald, the municipality of Schladen-Werla and the rural areas of the city of Wolfenbüttel, the municipality of Liebenburg, the joint municipality of Lutter am Bbge and the city of Goslar with the district of Vienenburg. The participants are each responsible for individual topics and joint projects.
