The reason for the trip was to take part in the "1st Braunschweig Fire Brigade Pulling". The "GAL Salzgitter" team competed in the "breathing apparatus wearers" (AGT) category.

A group consists of 5 rope pullers, who have to pull a fire engine on a rope from the starting line to the finish line, and a whistler. The whistler is essential for external motivation. The team had taken along a trainee as a substitute.

The team "GAL Salzgitter" won 1st place!

In addition, 1000 euros were raffled off among all participants. Here too, luck was on the side of the Salzgitter team. The team from Salzgitter decided to donate the entire sum to the Paulinchen E.v. "Initiative for children with burn injuries".
