The exhibition shows ten steles that were created by children, parents and the teams of the ten family centers under the direction of the Braunschweig artist and picture maker Wolf Menzel. In addition, employees of the family centers and the specialist service for children, youth and family of the city of Salzgitter will be on site and will be available to answer questions on the topic of "family centers". Performances by children and discussions are also planned. Drinks will be provided.

The Salzgitter City Library is participating in this event with a craft activity for girls and boys and will top off the creative fun with a small surprise in the children's library.

Information on family centers:

Family centers offer parents and their children early information, advice, care and education. They support and strengthen families in all phases of life, for example in the context of parent and baby cafés, sports activities, forest days and parent afternoons on special topics such as parenting tips and media use.

There are ten family centers in Salzgitter. In SZ- Bad: Christ-König, KunterBund; in Lebenstedt: St. Markus, St. Elisabeth, AWO Wilhelm-Kunze-Ring, St. Joseph, Martin-Luther, Purzelbaum; in Thiede/ Steterburg: Familienzentrum St. Bernward and Familienzentrum Stiftsmäuse.
