The reason for this is that credit cards with "cut-outs" cannot be swiped by the machine's reader. They get stuck and have to be removed manually by city employees.
The city council will therefore follow the approach of other cities and municipalities and remove the card readers without replacing them. In future, payment will be made in cash or via a parking app.
A specialist company will remove the card readers from the machines from Monday, August 15 and replace them with a cover.
