Children's theater on Sunday

Tickets are still available at the box office for the children's theater "1 before the other" on Sunday, March 13, 3 p.m. at the Kulturscheune in Lebenstedt. "compagnie nik" has developed the material based on Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Ugly Duckling" and realized it with love and comedic joy.

About the content: Valentin and Waldemar have found a story treasure chest. Piece by piece, it spits out a story on strips of paper and promises the person who plays it a treasure at the end. It seems to be "The Ugly Duckling".

With clownish playfulness and a love of weird costumes, the two of them throw themselves into the story. But the injustices repeatedly shake up the relationship between the friends. They are no longer able or willing to accept the normal ending. Instead of playing credit for their metamorphosis into swans, they realize that respect can neither be gained nor lost.

And so Valentin and Waldemar make an important discovery: human dignity is a treasure for us all.

The "compagnie nik" ensemble has set itself the goal of performing contemporary theater that goes beyond fairy tales and bedtime stories. With its plays, it calls on young audience members to participate in society and at the same time takes their problems, fears and dreams seriously.
