It has now been officially decided that the direct mandate for this constituency, which includes the northern part of Salzgitter and the municipality of Lengede from the district of Peine, will be awarded to Stefan Klein (49.29%).

The results for the second votes were as follows: SPD 39.94%, CDU 20.95%, AfD 18.37%, Greens 8.32%, Die Linke 3.49%, FDP 3.34%, Animal Welfare Party 1.68%, Others 3.90%

The city of Salzgitter was divided into two constituencies for the 2022 Landtagswahl. By far the largest part, together with the municipality of Lengede (district of Peine), formed constituency 11 "Salzgitter". The smaller part of Salzgitter with the towns of Süd and Südost, together with parts of the district of Wolfenbüttel, formed constituency 10 "Wolfenbüttel-Süd/Salzgitter". The city of Salzgitter was responsible for constituency 11 and the district of Wolfenbüttel for constituency 10.
