You can watch the clip on the city's YouTube channel. It was produced by the city of Salzgitter's Medienzentrum.
In the fourth episode, museum educator and archaeologist Christine Kellner-Depner returns to the Germanic exhibition area. She talks about the life of a bone carver. Finds such as a three-layer comb provide evidence of this specialized craft. On the first floor of Salder Castle, the prehistory and early history of the Salzgitter region is presented in detail using numerous original finds.
In other entertaining episodes, Christine Kellner-Depner brings cultural education to life in monthly digital tours. The short films are designed to inspire children to come to the museum with their parents or grandparents free of charge and discover and experience the history of the Salzgitter region up close.
Make a note: After a two-year break, the museum festival is to take place again this year. However, it has been postponed by one week this year: It will not take place on Mother's Day weekend this time, but a week later on May 14, starting at 2 p.m. and on May 15, starting at 11 a.m., to coincide with International Museum Day.
