This musical result was created during a five-day rap workshop in the Kulturscheune, organized by the City of Salzgitter's cultural department in cooperation with the "k-now-ledge" project.
Under the professional guidance of workshop leader, musician, hip-hop activist and founder of the k-now-ledge project Andreas Bucklisch, young people had the opportunity to learn or improve their rap skills free of charge from April 4 to 8.
An important focus of the project was to consciously and creatively deal with one's environment and express this in text form - provided that the texts were free of topics such as discrimination, glorification of drugs and violence.
Nico, Stella, Gülsüm, Finn, Marvin, Leonie, Efe, Fanni and David from Salzgitter and the region spent five days developing their own lyrics, flows and melodies with dedication, creativity and great joy. The result of this musical collaboration: the song "Synonyme Kraft", which was recorded in the city's recording studio on the final day. The young people, the workshop leader and everyone involved liked the recordings so much that a music video was made afterwards.
The backdrop for this was the culture barn, the old village and the area between the Avacon building and the town hall in Lebenstedt.
The basic message of the song: to see even bad experiences in life as an opportunity to grow from them, not to be intimidated and to always remain true to yourself.
You can hear and see how the 15- to 18-year-olds realized this premiere musically and cinematically on all of the city's social media platforms as well as on the streaming service Spotify.
