Salzgitter

Music school's string orchestra welcomes new members

The two string orchestras of the Salzgitter Music School invite you to a taster rehearsal on Monday, September 5. Beginners are just as welcome as advanced players.

The chamber orchestra of the music school is looking forward to welcoming guests.

String orchestra:

The Streichholzorchester - the music school's beginners' orchestra - rehearses from 5.15 to 6.15 pm. The children (and adult beginners) have lots of fun working on new pieces that they can perform at various events at the music school. Anyone who has played the violin for at least a year is welcome to join on September 5!

Chamber orchestra:

The chamber orchestra - the music school's advanced orchestra - rehearses from 6.15pm to 7.45pm. Here they work on challenging literature. This year's program includes film music and the symphonic poem "Die Moldau" by Bedrich Smetana. In special projects, the string orchestra is supported by wind and percussion instruments. To play in the chamber orchestra, it is necessary to be able to play all fingerings in the first position; playing in the upper register is desirable (especially in the cello and first violin).

Information: The two string orchestras of the Salzgitter Music School under the direction of Anna Godesberg rehearse every week on Mondays in the hall of the Alte Feuerwache (Wehrstraße 27 in Lebenstedt).

Anyone interested is invited to a free trial rehearsal on Monday, September 5.

The next big concert will be the music school's Christmas concert, for which both string orchestras are already busy practicing.

Please register at anna.godesberggmailcom If you have any questions, you can also contact the director of the string orchestra by e-mail.
