Road surface renovation in Salzgitter-Engerode

The civil engineering and traffic department of the city of Salzgitter is carrying out asphalt renovation work on the Alter Weg in Salzgitter-Engerode.

The top asphalt layer of this road will be renewed. Footpaths and parking lanes will remain unaffected.

The work will take place during the Easter vacations so as not to disrupt school operations. The preparatory work will begin on Tuesday, April 5. The roadworks will then be carried out in two construction phases with full road closures in each section:

  • The 1st construction phase from April 6 to April 7 includes the rear area from Triftweg to the turning area. During this time, this area and the street An der Hannoverschen Treue cannot be used by vehicles.
  • The 2nd construction phase on April 8 covers the front area from the country road (K 23) to Triftweg. This area cannot be used by vehicles on this day.

Due to weather conditions, there may be short-term postponements.
