Salzgitter

New secret on YouTube

In the current episode of the "Salzgitter Secrets" series, the Medienzentrum is on the road in Salzgitter-Ringelheim.

The chronogram can be found above a door that has been converted into windows.

Ringelheim is the sixth largest district and has several sights to offer. The pigeon tower, for example, was the subject of the first mystery to be revealed.

This time it's about a mysterious chronogram on the Klostermühle. It is both a work of linguistic art and a date.

Monastery mill in Ringelheim.

As early as the 15th century, the Lords of Wallmoden had a millrace dug parallel to the Innerste. This also marks the beginning of the history of the pretty monastery mill.

Ortsheimatpfleger Ringelheim's Dirk Scharper decodes the chronogram.

Four enigmatic lines of letters can be found above a former door of the building. It is the chronogram.

Ortsheimatpfleger Dirk Schaper knows the eventful history of Ringelheim very well and, of course, that of the mill. In the film, he explains what the enigmatic lines mean and the story behind them.

If you would like to visit the mysterious places yourself, you can use an online map. All the secrets can be found there. The films that have already been released are marked in red.
