The detour are signposted and lead as U5 via Industriestraße Mitte, Nord-Süd-Str. and L636 to the Lebenstedt-Süd junction or as U6 at the Watenstedt junction in the southbound direction onto the A39 and exit at the Lebenstedt-Süd junction and re-join in the direction of Braunschweig. The reason for the closure is work being carried out at the junction as large-volume transports are being transported here.
